Egret Landing, Jupiter
Egret Landing is a lovely, quiet family-friendly neighborhood in Jupiter, located just east of I-95 and northwest of Abacoa. Placed on 248 acres of prime property, this non-gated community consists of 649 houses. There are no condos or townhouses here, only single-family homes. The building of the neighborhood started in 1994, with about 85% of homes built before 2000.
One thing that sets Egret Landing apart is that it has 58(!) cul-de-sacs. The cul-de-sacs, which are strung around a 2-mile loop of Egret Cir and along Lakeshore Dr, kind of look like a cluster of alveoli on the Google Maps terrain view. So it’s particularly attractive for families with small kids, who can take a break from their gadgets and TV shows and have more outside time (according to one study indoor air can be up to 100 times more polluted than outdoor air).
A quick fun fact: the streets along Egret Landing’s main loop and Lakeshore Dr are arranged alphabetically for easier navigation and are named after birds and trees.
Most homes in Egret Landing are 3 to 5 bedroom, ranging from nearly 1,800 sqft to over 4,000 sqft of living space. The homes, many of which are Mediterranean styled, sit on fairly large lots with gorgeously relaxing lake views.
Egret Landing has great amenities, including 7 tennis courts, a large green area suitable for soccer or football, play park for kids, basketball court, a resort-style swimming pool with a generously appointed clubhouse, an exercise room, and even an RV and boat-storage lot (zoom in on the community’s southeastern corner in Google maps). And the best part is that all of these amenities are for one of the lowest HOA fees for a comparable neighborhood in Jupiter.
